Health & Supplements

Do you remember that I told you about my Arthrosis diagnosis and the L1 to L5 fusion on my spine? In case you have not read it here is the article - https://radka.life/post/the-conversation-with-god and this one I share some of the healing techniques I used to heal myself in 3 night and 4 days -https://radka.life/post/the-miraculous-healing

Radka in nature

In this article we will dive into the women health after the age of 40 and a bit more around the arthrosis as it is part of my personal story. Once I heard the diagnosis I started with the research of what it is and what is advisable to be done.

Let me first tell you that there is a difference between arthrosis and arthritis.

What is Arthritis?

Arthritis is a common, chronic condition characterized by inflammation, pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion in one or more joints. Affecting millions, it includes over 100 types, with the most common being osteoarthritis (joint wear-and-tear) and rheumatoid arthritis (autoimmune inflammation). It can affect people of all ages, often causing significant pain, decreased joint function, and, if severe or untreated, permanent joint damage.

Key Types of Arthritis

  • Osteoarthritis - (OA): The most common type, occurring when cartilage, the cushioning surface on bones, breaks down over time, causing pain and stiffness.

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA): An autoimmune disease where the body's immune system attacks the joint lining, causing chronic inflammation and potential damage to other organs.

  • Other types: These include Gout (crystal buildup), Psoriatic Arthritis (associated with skin psoriasis), and Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) in children.

Symptoms and Causes

  • Symptoms: Joint pain, stiffness (often worse in the morning), swelling, redness, and decreased range of motion.

  • Causes: Factors include age, joint injuries, autoimmune reactions, infection, and genetic predisposition.

Diagnosis and Treatment
While there is often no cure for many forms, treatments focus on reducing symptoms and improving quality of life.

  • Diagnosis: Physical exam, imaging (X-rays, MRIs), and blood tests.

  • Treatment: medications (pain relivers, anti-inflammatories, immunosuppressants), physical therapy, lifestyle changes (exercise, diet), and joint replacement surgery.

It is important to consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist for more than a few days.

What is Arthrosis?

Arthrosis (or osteoarthritis) is a common, chronic degenerative joint disease characterized by the breakdown of protective cartilage on the ends of bones, leading to pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, and sometimes bony growths. It mainly affects the hands, knees, hips, and spine, typically due to aging, joint wear-and-tear, or previous injuries.

Key Details About Arthrosis:

  • Mechanism: Cartilage loses its strength and wear down, causing bones to rub together.

  • Symptoms: Joint pain (especially after activity), stiffness (commonly in the morning), swelling, limited range of motion, and cracking noises.

  • Causes/Risk Factors: Ageing, obesity, hereditary factors, joint injuries, and repetitive, high-stress, or long-term overloading of joints. You can develop arthrosis due to old age and normal wear and tear, especially if you’re overweight or work a job that puts repeated stress on certain joints. Other risk factors for arthritis include diseases that raise inflammation levels in the body, low estrogen in women, and low vitamin K. However, estrogen supplementation in women hasn’t been shown to prevent arthrosis. Instead, using hormone replacement therapy increases the risk of undergoing joint replacement.

  • Treatments: While the damage is irreversible, symptoms are managed through lifestyle changes (weight loss, exercise), pain-relievers (NSAIDs), and physical therapy. Severe cases may require joint replacement surgery.

Unlike inflammatory arthritis, arthrosis is generally defined as a degenerative "wear and tear" process, though it can cause secondary inflammation.

The doctor politely told me that I am a fat ass and I need to loose some weight. he explained me that my weight is too heavy for my bones and spine to be carried around. He never asked me if I train or do anything at all. I am literally someone who rarely stops. I am not professional sport person but sport is a big part of my life - I do some sort of activity daily. As a child I was part of the school sport teams performing Lion Jumps, or Relay race competitions. Then in high school I trained Kick boxing and five years sport dancing like Cha-cha, Tango, Jive, Waltz (two types), ect. I used to go to competitions. Then in University I trained for 5 years Aerobics and qualified as Aerobic teacher at the end of my Uni degree. Now and then I used to walk (two to 4 hours a day) and run. I am skiing since the age of 8 (a few times every year). My parents are wild camping lovers, so we have visited and hiked all the Bulgarian high mountain ranges during my young years. Bulgaria has over 40 distinct mountain ranges. When we use to live in Cyprus we did not have a car for 6 months and we used to walk every weekend from Thrahoni to Limasol for shopping and then to the beach by feet. It used to take us a whole day from the morning to the dark night at around 10pm. Once we arrived in England I started with daily walking and running between Burnsall and Grassington in the Dales (this is how I stopped smoking and went back to training. My job back then was housekeeper and waitress.) Later I became CobraFit and CobraCore certified coach and trainer and I was training BalleBeFit. I was training around 3 to 5 hours daily including yoga or aerobics at home for a start up and I could throw some run or walk in between. As I was not driving at that time I used to walk 12 miles a day to take kids to nursery and school and back. Crazy years, hey! And in 2020 I got fully emersed in yoga, breathwork and meditation. As well I used to do weekly swimming sessions with each child swimming lessons for around 6 years and to join the trampoline fun with them.

So, when the doctor said I am not very active, without asking me what is my actual daily activity range I was a bit perplexed. When I researched Arthrosis, I realised that actually I might have done a bit too much physically, but my diet was really bad. I have very sweet tooth. If you check what I am build of , you will find only chocolate and sugar - I am a Sugar Babe. 😘

Aquasource supplements

I cannot find now the super fascinating site I stumbled upon my research but it was about the vitamin K, D, calcium, B12 and all of the Omega acids. It was explained how important the intake of these vitamins and minerals is after the age of 40. As I am a distributor at Aquasource I ordered straight away the following supplements:

SeaPower Algi - It contains three different types of algi.

Osteo-Forte - It is with Organic Sea lettuce, natural Calcareous Algae & K2

Flexibility - This is supplementing your collagen. Type 1 of collagen that helps your bones and ligaments and tendons. Type 2 is for the skin, nails, hair and the walls of the intestines and comes as a Collagen Supplement in Aquasource (I am taking it now since January 2026). Type 1 and type 2 should not be taken together. You should take one of the collagen at a time. Once finished you can take the other. I always suggest one should start with the Start Easy Programme (it consist 4 different supplements) in addition to Extra Strength Collagen Plus (type 2) and then to continue with whatever is needed. As I do take once to twice an year the Start Easy Programme I went straight to the other supplements.

Liquid Gold Complex with Vitamin D3 and all the Omega 3, 6, 7, 9 fatty acids including DHA that is great for easy sleep and stress less state. Essential food for the brain.

To order yours visit my Aquasource site. You can find it embedded on my website https://www.radka.life under the store section drop down menu as 'Aquasource Supplements' or on this link: https://myaquasource.net/ba/RadkaHubenova

I am using Aquasource supplements since 2018-2019 from time to time. I am not one of these crazy people to fully rely on them. I use them once or twice an year when the seasons are changing or when I feel that my body needs that extra support. The supplements are really great and benefit one when needed. I started using them as my sister told me about the positive impact they have on Autism, as they are supplements full of herbs, vitamins and minerals they impact one's well-being alongside the daily diet. One of my kids is diagnosed with Autism and the other is not diagnosed (as I am not chasing doctors anymore) but on the spectrum of something as he has special educational healthcare plan in school. So all of the family is using them now and then to supplement the diet. They work wonders for us. I even use the toothbrush that doesn't need a toothpaste (as I am working daily to decalcify and activate fully my penial gland this toothbrush is great as it activates from light and the user saliva. And some researches say that fluoride that you can find in most toothpaste is responsible for the calcification of the pineal gland. I went into too much side depth so far. Make your own research on everything mentioned here and choose what is best for your self.).

The Diet

Pizza from courgettis

A little bit after that in February 2025 I started a special anti anti-inflammatory diet with a woman called Radost. She called it her method. She have discovered it through self healing herself through food and research made from a lot of books and reading. I did mess it up of course. The diet was great as one can eat meat, vegetables, fruits, nuts and even drink coffee and alcohol. One should remove or change a lot of ingredients, which for a start was not easy. I do remember that I took 3 to 4 weeks to in preparation. Actually I was trying to run out of it. I actually was thinking about it and I was making some very small changes but nothing what was requested from me in full. Until one day Radost had a serious conversation with me and made me think and reflect. I was thinking that I was resisting to change some of the ingredients as I wanted my kids and husband to join me in, so it is more easy on cooking. I really tried to convince them to try it with me. But they did not wanted. The honest truth was that I was attached or with other words - I was feeling safe and connected with my family through the food. I deeply reflected after our conversation with Radost and after I started the diet for real.

The food and drinks that we intake is not just food and drink. It is a connection to the whole with the culture, the community, the family, your partner, the ground and mother Earth. It is connection with the 5 elements, the nature, God and even with the self. Have you heard the saying:

'You are what you eat.'

It is so. One is what one consumes. Even though I mess up with the diet I gained so much out of it. I am forever grateful to Radost for sharing her method with me. I was firmly on the diet for around 40 days. During the rest of the time I was 'preparing' myself and then getting out of it. I mess up two things. One was that during the diet I was supposed to use Dates. For some reason I thought that Prunes are Dates or that dates are translated as Prunes in English. Me and Radost were communicating in Bulgarian language and I had to source the ingredients in England. So throughout the entire diet I was using prunes instead of dates and thinking that I am using dates. 😂Actually the prunes were a real deal for me. Prunes are one of the best body cleaners when it comes to constipation, worms and parasites and sluggishness.

The other thing that I messed up was that I listened to my body. Every year since 2021 I fast/lent during Spring. This year I did not do it as I started this diet and it involved meat eating as a source of protein. During the time of the diet I was on Ayurveda course and I learned something super fascinating. I found out what happens when one eat only one fruit or vegetable - the entire digestive process to the energy release and how the physical body and our energy is affected only from the intake of a single plant. And if one mixes the ingredients and they are not in synergy it literally creates 'fucked up' effect for our energy, health and well-being. So I put my brave pants and decided to try water Moon fasting introduced by Radost for first time ever in my life for 24 hours and after that I decided to go only on raw eating veg, fruits and nuts for 7 days until the next Moon water fasting. During the same time I tried as well Ekadashi fasting (Gaia introduced me into Ekadashi and I made a research what I can eat and drink during it in my yoga community) and I did preferred it as it is more easy on the body and emotions for some reason. Plus if one is doing Ekadashi fasting with pure intention can clear the build up Karma from this life and past lifetimes, including generational Karma.

One of the reasons to opt out for Ekadashi fast was that Arthrosis is connected with the Root and partly with the Sacral chakra. The Root chakra is a lot to do with ancestors, one's root, culture, family, finance, stability, safety and grounding. Under the Root lies the very famous coiled Kundalini energy - the ultimate power that each of us posses. As well attachments are connected with the lower centers. Everything was making sense to me. I have never felt better and lighter in my life as during that week. I did a complete reset to my physical body. Alongside the diet I started training 90 min Pilates sessions 6 days a week. I did train for two months alongside the strict diet and then I trained again at the end of the year between August and October. The Pilates postures were specifically tailored to build the core, spine, back, neck and shoulders strong and they did made a massive change to my body. Mudra Verma was my teacher. An incredible one. This year I am committing to yoga flow or Ashtanga Vinyasa style yoga with breathwork, bandhas and meditation alongside my 8 weeks raw food eating.

Here I am a lot lighter

Let me tell you what I lost during that diet. The complete process was for around 3 months of which I firmly stick with the diet for 40 days in a roll.

I lost 12kg. I lost a pain that was appearing in my back passage, probably an inflammation of the colon or the anus area. I used to have pain from time to time on my right belly side - it was gone. My acid refluxes has fully stopped. My feet, legs and arms got smaller (my lymphatic system was swollen without me realising it). I went a shoe size smaller. The pain in my coccyx disappeared and my bones not only on the back but in the whole body become less soundly and more flexible and easy moving. I felt super energetic and light like never before. The best of all is that I decided to test the reliability of the results. I went back to eating most of the rubbish (not all of it) after I finished it and for 8 months I put back only 2 kg. My bones started clicking a bit more once the winter of 2025 came as the winter is connected with Vatta, wind, cold and inflammation. In the last two weeks (nowadays from the 1st of February to the 8th of February 2026) I introduced the proper rubbish like sugar in the tea, biscuits and more consummation of bread and this led me to put extra 2 kg in only 2 weeks. I allow the stress to lead me and the result is on. Thanks to the test I know now that this method is working in the long run with minimum maintenance, just highly rubbish foods like sugar and anything containing it should be avoided. I used to cook with coconut sugar, honey and maple syrup if preparing anything sweet.

My deeper research showed that the use of sugar is a killer for the bones and the liquid between them as it does something with the certain elements inside the body. It steals and prevents the goodies to go to the right place and to do their job. So stop eating sugar and sweet artificial rubbish.

An important thing I want to add is that during the entire diet I was not taking any supplements. It was the effect purely from the diet. I will repeat this process this year again.

And here is what I gained:

I gained my good health back. A lot of energy and light feeling. New wardrobe of clothes and shoes (my husband was not very happy with this part 😂). A knowledge of what and how to do the things right when it comes to food. A new perspective on food. Detachment from food, family and possibly Karma. I learned a new way of cooking as the different ingredients wanted different techniques and prep time. Due to my curious nature I did research and I learned a lot of healthy ways to prepare fresh food like extract milk from coconut, cashew or almond; to do yoghurt without heat involved and cream cheese from nuts and many other things.

Reflection

I don't know what you took from all of this shared experience but I took two things:

  1. When you mess up, actually you are always winning. Here is the mantra/affirmation for it - 'I never loose, I either Win or Learn!' My mistakes led me to find treasure. This year, actually tomorrow - the 9th of February I am starting 9 weeks without meat of which 8 will be pure vegan experience with a lot of raw food eating, no coffee, alcohol, cacao, chocolate and with lots of yoga, breathwork and meditation. I am looking forward to see what super powers I will awake this time.

  2. Your mind is a powerful tool. It can make you ill or a superhuman. You are in control of it. Choose wisely and use your Willpower, Discipline and Consistency. I did it. You can do it too.

I will not ask you any questions this time. I will allow you to be free and reflect on your own terms. I decided NOT to start the membership. Instead I prepared a course called 'I am free to be me'. It is 8 steps to liberations integrating Patanjali's yoga, coaching, breathwork, meditations, yoga asana, and other amazing things. All the chakra trainings will be part of it as a bonus. I will add links to each blog article very soon. A very special Balancing Chakra Masterclass is on its way as well. Stay tuned.

Thank you for reading me again. Stay blessed!
