Connectedness
The Wisdom of Anahata
Connection leading to Connectedness
Dear reader,
In this article I will share a few different aspects of life around business, personal relationship and the connection with self. We will take a deep dive in my personal inner space. Stay with open mind and heart and take as much as you can from this article.
Let's recap - the heart chakra (Anahata) is the primary energy center responsible for connection, empathy, compassion, and the deep sense of connectedness to both oneself and others. Located in the center of the chest, it acts as a bridge between the physical lower chakras and the spiritual upper chakras.
Key Aspects of the Heart Chakra
Core Themes: Love, empathy, forgiveness, and acceptance.
Sense of Connectedness: Fosters unity, intimacy, and meaningful relationships.
The Bridge: Harmonizes earthly survival instincts with higher spiritual awareness.
Signs of Imbalance
Blocked or Deficient: Leads to loneliness, emotional detachment, fear of intimacy, and isolation.
Overactive or Excess: Can result in co-dependency, jealousy, or losing personal boundaries to please others.
I will share with you a day of my life:
A Trip to London
It was a day in April when Lucy McCarraher, the owner of bookmagic.ai and the host of The Phoenix Convesations (click on the blue text to listen Lucy's story) messaged me to invite me personally to become part of her 2026-2027 Mastermind cohort. I felt deeply honoured and at the same time surprised that I was 'seen' and personally invited from her. I accepted straight away as have not been part of an organisation or a group for an year and I was craving a connection, belonging and somehow entering a new sphere of networking. When one sign up for one of these yearly memberships, one never knows what to expect and where the journey will take you but one thing is certain - a change and growth will appear and it will be adventurous.
As part of the online monthly mastermind meetings, Lucy has arranged a few in person meetings. The first one was in London in July. I live very simple and secluded life - more family orientated than anything extravagant. I do meet up with people but not as wild as before. I am hearing you asking me when was before and what it was like before???
Growing up I was feeling like Cinderella. My parents used to lead very lavish lifestyle. Weekly parties, even sometimes daily parties. They used to have a lot of friends and connections and we used to get together partying 20 to 70 + people. On my dad's name days we used to have 70 to 140 guests visiting our home (I was serving, cooking, cleaning) - all day and night up to the next morning. In Bulgaria one does not need invitation to visit you on a name day celebration. My life as a child, teen and an young adult was very dynamic (not that now is less dynamic, it is just more quiet and secluded), building lots of connections. We used to go to many holidays. I have visited all parts of Bulgaria - all the mountains and monasteries, seaside, lakes, ski resorts, ect. We have experienced anything from camping to staying in villas and hotels. I was used to party, dance, drink and connect. Every Friday I used to go to make up do, nails and hair do to get ready for the weekend. This is still the lifestyle in Bulgaria led by many young and even not so young girls and women. I used to go to boarding high school an hour away from home and I used to party wild there as well even though I was excellent student. I just know how to excel at everything I do 😁. In university the party lifestyle continued. Studying two degrees at the same time, being part of the aerobic university team, working and still partying. And when I did hit home I used to party with the family tribe and their friends.
Once I found my husband in 2007, my life took a different direction. He does not like noise or get big get togethers, neither he does dance. So, it was time to my quiet motherhood years. Even though we changed countries I managed to grow new connections and make friends. I used to be part of a few business networks, used to go to business fares and used to meet up with people a lot more until the pandemic hit. After that all the connections died naturally. I do go out only once or twice an year to meet up with very close friends and colleagues or to network nowadays.
Yoga found me in 2020, exactly during the start of the lock down and I turned inwards - a place where I found deeper and meaningful conversations, a lot of answers to questions I used to ask since childhood, peace, quiet, balance, self love, self acceptance and a lot more things. And at one moment I was enough for myself. Somehow content.
When Lucy invited me to the in person event I was siting on the invitation for a while. A part of me was craving to go and see the people from the monthly online meetings in person, but other part did not like the fact that I have to go to the busy capital with lots of noise, people, crowds, catching busses, being in hurry and away from the family - travelling alone.
At the end I took the leap and decided to give it a go. I think I really dislike the part of organising and researching all of the travel ( from which bus to take from the nearest station to my home to the end destination and then coming back) rather than the travel and the event itself. I am the one that organise, research and book all of the travels during the all our family holidays and I find it somehow heavy especially when I have to do it even only for me. Only once in my life I was invited by Meta ( Facebook and Instagram) to live in person event in Manchester and I will never forget that they took care of everything - from the invitation, to the booking and paying for my train tickets and the organisation and delivery of everything. It is highly appreciated up to today. An experience I will always cherish.
Let's come back to the London trip, shall we?
I started my journey at 2 am from home. My dear husband took me to Manchester and I got the coach to London. I arrived at Victoria Coach Station around 10.30 am. The weather was splendid - bright and sunny and hot. I felt great and decided to opt for walking rather than changing multiple busses and getting lost. The venue was only 40 min by feet and the path I was walking took me through the Buckingham Palace and the park nearby and then a few streets and I was going to be there at the Marylebone Hotel. Nothing can beat a walk in the park and connecting with a few trees and flowers and the fresh air with the sun rays kissing your skin, can't it? During my morning travel I came to sit to a Chinese student - very polite boy but he preferred plugging his earphones in his ears rather than communicating with me. I managed to sleep a bit on the coach and to do a little morning sun connecting practice to get myself ready for the day.
The journey through the park was lovely. I even stopped for a breakfast at the park cafe and ate it under one big tree. Then I carried on. I hit the London busy streets and got consumed by my thoughts of multi-million and one things. The google sat nav was leading me on and I was (my energy was) all spread around, until out of a sudden I felt I am in a different street - somehow more specific, unique. It was quiet and the energy in the air shifted. The floor was even looking different and somehow the street was feeling and looking tidy, organised and something inside of me shifted. I got focussed and somehow pulled out of my thoughts. I looked around and up and the first thing I saw was the Ferrari sign on the top of the shop I was standing in front. Then, I saw Louis Vuitton, Wimbledon, Gucci and many others famous brands. Each shop had only one window with one specific collection shown outside. There were handsome men in suits who were standing on the inside of the doors or the outside of the doors, ready to open the door for you. My spine somehow naturally straighten up, my steps became heavy and confident, my hips got curved and even my chin got a natural lift up. My energy and mood changed from the moment I stepped on the Bond Street in London. I was fascinated with the jewellery display that was unfolding in front of my eyes. Only one collection of neckless with earrings and bracelet was shown on the window of each shop. I was curious to see if I would find something for my taste.
Nothing....
I was slightly disappointed. All of the crafted jewellery were showing power and dominance. There was nothing elegant and delicate. A thought run through my mind. That each of these companies is competing and showing craftmanship like the jaguar and the snake jewellery in a massive big shapes. They were all beautiful but in that comparison and competition no one actually stood out. They were all the same. Somehow using the animal kingdom and the animal fearful and powerful features expressed through the stunning design to attract the buyers to buy them and to show off through that power and dominance.
People connect power and dominance with strength and most of them think and want others to fear them. The world is ruled by one of these two things - either fear or love.
I am wondering, do you think that one should rule by fear or step into love and rule by love? And if it is by love, would you want to buy these massive pieces of jewellery or would you prefer something more delicate, sophisticated and gentle that is screaming love and nurture?
Aren't the big brands the ones that influence the world and shape its presence, feel and look? Isn't it down to their designs that define the latest fashion and human desires? Isn't it the desire the one that rule each one of us? To look and feel the same as the others, to be connected, to belong?
Can you control your desires my dear reader, or they control you? Isn't it everything and everyone connected somehow? Where does it start? Who start it? Who is deciding on the movement and reshaping the world views, trends, desires? Are you capable of standing out alone? Would you feel then enough or you will feel alone, different like not belonging?
..............................................................
I kept walking down the street towards my destination. A few of the massive build men smiled back at me and only two greeted me. I got near the end of the street, to the very last shop. There was a man standing outside the shop, nearly on the street. He smiled at me and greeted me and asked me a question. The first one person to speak. I replied back. And then we started chatting and he invited me into the shop.
J: Come inside. I would like you to try a few products. Your skin will be like velvet after using them.
Me: Ok, let's go.
To be continued soon.........
