🫚 Ginger: The Fire That Awakens Body, Energy & Spirit

Ginger is more than a spice.
It is a catalyst — warming, activating, and awakening.
Used for thousands of years across healing traditions, ginger ignites inner fire, clears stagnation, and supports movement on every level: physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual.

Holistic & Physical Benefits of Ginger

Ginger is one of nature’s most powerful natural healers.

Key physical benefits:

  • Supports digestion and relieves bloating, nausea, and sluggish metabolism

  • Reduces inflammation and joint discomfort

  • Strengthens immunity and circulation

  • Warms the body and supports respiratory health

  • Helps balance blood sugar and support weight management

Ginger brings movement where there is stagnation and warmth where there is cold — making it ideal during stress, fatigue, or seasonal transitions.

Energetic Benefits of Ginger

Energetically, ginger is pure activation.

  • Stimulates life force energy (Prana/Chi)

  • Clears energetic blockages and emotional heaviness

  • Strengthens the solar plexus (Manipura chakra) — confidence, willpower, and self-belief

  • Supports action, courage, and momentum

Ginger is especially supportive when you feel:

  • stuck or indecisive

  • drained or unmotivated

  • disconnected from your inner power

Its energy says: Move. Act. Trust yourself.

Spiritual Benefits of Ginger

Spiritually, ginger has been used as a protector, purifier, and activator.

  • Clears negative or stagnant energy from the aura

  • Strengthens spiritual boundaries and inner authority

  • Supports courage in speaking truth and taking aligned action

  • Awakens inner fire without aggression — conscious power, not force

In spiritual practices, ginger symbolizes inner leadership — the moment you stop waiting and start embodying your truth.

Ayurvedic View of Ginger (Śuṇṭhī / Ārdraka)

In Ayurveda, ginger is considered universal medicine.

Dosha Effects:

  • Balances Vata – warms, grounds, improves circulation

  • Balances Kapha – dries excess mucus, stimulates metabolism

  • Pitta – beneficial in moderation (especially fresh ginger)

  • Deepana – kindles digestive fire (Agni)

  • Pachana – burns toxins (Ama)

  • Srotoshodhana – clears bodily channels

  • Prana Vardhaka – enhances vitality

Ginger is often taken before meals to awaken digestion and before meditation to sharpen awareness.

Ginger as a Conscious Ally

Use ginger intentionally:

  • In tea before journaling or decision-making

  • In warm meals when you need grounding + drive

  • In ritual baths or foot soaks for energetic cleansing

  • As a reminder that transformation requires movement

Ginger teaches us that healing is active, clarity is embodied, and power begins within.

Radka & Ginger

Radka in a chill river

It was the summer of 2025. We were visiting Bulgaria. One of my teeth had a crown and root canal treatment for over 10 years. The nerve was taken out long time ago. But out of a sudden I started experiencing pain and discomfort in the area. I visited a dentist and they did a whole mouth X-ray and told me they do not deal with root canal treatments and cannot help me. I was looking 3 days for a specialist in the entire country. I found one dentist in the local town that agreed to open the crown and to see what is under it. She put me some liquid from orange essence or something similar and then the real pain game started. That night all my left side of the face was like disconnected from the pain. It was going up the head and back to the shoulders and spine.

The next day I visit back and said that I am in serious pain. She removed the treatment and told me that she is not going to take my tooth out I have to find a tooth surgeon. The one who is in our town was on holiday. The good thing was that the pain went back to normal like 1,2 out of 10. I was pressured by time as we had to head back to UK as the summer holiday was towards its end. I kept looking for clinics in Plovdiv and found a few that specialize in root canal treatment only one clinic agree to see me and consult me. They saw me a week after my tooth crown was opened and the pain was back to 5,6. The worst bit was that they did not have any time to fit me in in the next two weeks and I had to be back in UK after a week. They said that until they do not open the canal under microscope they cannot tell me if it can be saved. I left with my pain and without an answer if that tooth has to be taken out or no. The pain was increasing (and just to remind you that this tooth does not have nerves as they were taken 10 -12 years ago), so I visiting an emergency clinic in Plovdiv the next day to remove it but the queue was so big that I knew i will not be seen that day.

We went back to our village in the mountains and my mother in law call the local dentist Radostina that was serving 3 villages and was near retirement. I went and had to wait only 1 person before me. Once I entered I asked her if she can take the tooth out as I cannot handle the pain anymore. She said she will check it up if we can save one of the roots to use it for a crown if not she will fully remove it. She removed it fully as it came that I have metal in my root canal that has been planted so deep even in the jaw bone and this was causing the constant swelling in my lower jaw in the all of these years. All of the dentist who open it said that they have never seen such a black terrible liquid to come out of the place. No wonder why I was experiencing unexplained breast pain throughout the years from that side.

See my dear reader, all our body is connected and one thing affect other. My lymphatic system was reacting to the constant tooth inflammation due to the implanted metal in the root canal. After the that thing was removed my body feels a lot lighter and better.

If you wonder why I am telling you this tooth story, it is first to recognize the village dentist. She requested only 15 leva and in that posh dentistry in Plovdiv they wanted me 300 leva for the removal of the tooth and I had to wait in that agony for 2 weeks or 2 months (he suggested me I to come back from UK in two months to be sorted). She did knew what she was doing and took the tooth straight out without any fuss.

Second while in my biggest pain ginger save me to reduce and at some moments to fully remove the pain alongside clove bud. So, if you ever happen to have toothache just slice 2 slices of ginger and put them on the tooth and keep them there with your tongue. Then after a while chew them and keep the chewing bit there. You can take one or two cloves and put them on the place of pain as well and feel the instant relief.

Radka watching the river

The wisdom is: trust old and ancient doctors/dentists and roots like ginger as they know what they are doing and they are doing it well.

I was combining this with cold river dips and meditation in the cold water. It really helped me to fully remove the pain for a few hours.
